Lectrotab Announces Lifetime Warranty For Electromechanical Trim Tab Actuators

RICHMOND, Va. – Dec. 16, 2010 – Linear Devices Corporation announces that it is offering a lifetime warranty for its Lectrotab-brand marine trim tab actuator systems.

"All Lectrotab systems are designed and manufactured to the most stringent quality standards, and we perform a fully functional load test up to 1,000 lbs. of force before shipping," said Dan Roberts, president of Linear Devices Corporation. "As a result, our field failure rate is extremely low. We are so confident in the quality of our products that we're offering this unprecendented lifetime warranty to our customers."

The Lectrotab electromechanical tab actuator cylinder design incorporates patented features to ensure maximum performance and reliability. The unit is corrosion free, requires no maintenance, provides very accurate tab positioning and maximum lift force, and is totally self-contained for easy installation. The actuator assembly is packaged in a non-metallic permanently sealed housing. No components need to be installed inside the boat. Most importantly, unlike hydraulic trim tabs, there is no oil to leak out.

Lectrotab offers a wide range of trim tabs for planing powerboats of all types and sizes. The product line includes 12-volt and 24-volt tab actuators, patented aluminum alloy and stainless-steel tabs and variety of controls and accessories. The Lectrotab products are designed to provide a drop-in replacement for most popular hydraulic tab sets.

The lifetime warranty covers all Lectrotab actuators manufactured after Oct. 1, 2009. If any Lectrotab actuator assembly fails due to defects in material or workmanship, the company will provide a replacement free of charge.
